Karver Clamp - 2 in 1 Clamp & Thimble

Spinnaker furlers need anti-torsion as a link between the drum and the swivel but also as a furling support for the sail. This anti torsion rope have to be adjusted to the correct length.

The hardness and the positioning of the fibers of this rope do not allow splicing and makes it very difficult to sew. The clamp remains the simplest solution to implement.

The KRE clamp offers a simple installation, fast, without heavy tools and offers the possibility of a "blank" installation before cutting the rope to its final length.

Karver Advice

• Caution! The workloads of Karver clamps are always lower than the load capacity of the furler
• This clamp allows to adjust the length of your anti torsion on board before cutting it
• The clamp of the upper part of the rope (swivel) can be mounted the first with no adjustment
• The second can be installed without the screws at first (length) adjustment)
• Put your anti torsion + clamp (without the sail) in the furler and fix it on its attachment point
• Adjust the length accordingly and make a cut mark > Shorten the rope by a few centimeters to compensate its stretch (usually 0.5 to 3%)
• Cut and install the clamp permanently
