Selden Ratchet Blocks
For dinghy main or spinnaker sheets. Makes it easy to advance your grip when hauling in the sheet. Also easier for a person holding the sheet. The perfect combination of control and convenience.
Manual Ratchet Blocks
A switch is used to turn the ratchet function on or off.
This is Selden's second generation of manual ratchet blocks and their focus has been to improve the grip and the switch. Ratchet blocks are mainly used for dynamic applications such as sheets on dinghies and keelboats and when the ratchet is activated it locks the sheave in one direction and allows the sailor to relax a bit without cleating the line. The blocks are designed with lightweight Delrin ball bearings and the new single block versions are available either with a composite sheave or an aluminium sheave. The latter version makes for more grip and the ability to cope with relative thin lines.
