KarverKF1.5 (V3) - STANDARD VERSION
Product Code: PF300150
The KF1.5 STANDARD is a flying furler that withstands a workload of 1,5 T. It is intended for sailboats from 25 to 35 feet.
The KF1.5 STANDARD is a Karver furler of 3rd generation and is fitted as standard with a carbon / Kevlar® continuous line wheel, a reinforced ABS casing protected by K Krok silicone protection, our 2 in 1 K Snap snap shackle, our remote locking system for the continuous line wheel and a swivel also protected by our K Krok impact-resistant protection. There are many options available to make it unique and perfectly suited to your needs.
The KF1.5 STANDARD is delivered with a drum and its swivel. It allows furling in complete safety from the cockpit complementary so-called "flying" sails such as a gennaker, a code 0, a staysail, etc. It is also possible to furl an asymmetric spinnaker by equipping it with the KTS adaptor.

MAIN ADVANTAGES
Major innovations:
- Patented carbon & Kevlar continuous line wheel - Resistance, better grip, less wear, aesthetics, weight gain, customization possibilities. The weight gain linked to the use of carbon has allowed us to strengthen more essential mechanical elements.
- Karver Snap (K Snap) 2 in 1> 2: 1 friction sheave snap shackle - Very compact & resistant. The only snap shackle on the market to actually hold the full load. The friction sheave will be particularly useful to position your furler on a bowsprit in complete safety.
- The K Kroks are silicone impact-resistant protectors that we have installed as standard on the ABS casings and the swivels of the Standard, Classic and Structural versions. These new ergonomic protections will effectively protect the boat (hull, deck, mast, etc) and the furler itself.
- Aesthetics : Black range, carbon, mirror polished stainless steel, hard anodization of aluminum.
Other new features:
- Wide continuous line wheel available for KF1.5, KF3.0 : More torque for less effort and more power
- New opening system for captive fast pins that are more ergonomic, more reliable and easier to clean.
- Replacing the swivel shackles with lashing eyes. More compact, lighter and more resistant.
- Possibility to add a wood veneer on the continuous line wheel and / or on the carbon housing
- Always more performance :
- Lighter (carbon)
- More compact (K Snap and swivel lashing eyes)
- More resistant (carbon)
- Easier to use (new low friction bearings / new fast pins / Snap)
- Easier to maintain (new design)
- Reinforcement of the remote locking system of the continuous line wheel. Possibility of not ordering this standard accessory.
- Definitely the best value for money on the market
Karver standards retained:
- Automatic "off-line" of the line when it is not under tension : limits wear, avoids burning your fingers.
- Quick installation of the line (Karver invention since 2003 !)
- Standard delivery of the automatic lock that can be dismantled in a few seconds (Karver invention since 2011… criticized by all our competitors… and now imitated by all !
- List of XXLong accessories including carbon housing, KTS, cableless, 3: 1 friction sheaves, optional 2:1 blocks, clamps, etc
KARVER TIPS:
- A furler is a piece of comfort and safety equipment. It allows you to roll and unroll your sail from the cockpit.
- Furling sails are called "flying" because unlike a genoa, they are not intended to stay in place all the time. They are usually put away at the end of use or at the end of the day.
- A furling sail cannot be used partially rolled up unlike a furling genoa. It is completely rolled up or unrolled.
- This reference includes a drum equipped with a K Snap a swivel equipped with a lashing eye 1 removable automatic lock 1 open friction ring to properly align the line 1 neoprene storage bag the manual
- Undelivered : The line (operation line), the anti-torsion line (Installed and delivered with the sail), the thimbles (installed and delivered on the anti-torsion line). All these equipment are available in the options list.
- If you use the furler with a bowsprit, you can use the K Snap as hoist 2 : 1. For sails that need more tension (Code 0 for example), we recommend replacing the K Snap with a 3: 1 friction sheave. In both cases, the hoist will prevent you from acrobatic operations and easily bring the furler back to the deck
- If you have any doubt about the compatibility of our K Snap or our swivel with your fixing point, do not hesitate to ask us for advice by giving us the brand and the reference (or the dimensions).
- Our automatic drum lock is a convenience feature. It helps to prevent unwanted unwinding of the sail if you do not secure the sail. It also makes it possible to roll the sail with one hand. The lock can be removed without tools in seconds. If you haven't taken the time to read the operation manual, disconnect it for lock-less use.
- It is rare to install a UV strip on a flying sail that is not intended to stay in place. If, however, a UV strip is provided, it must be installed on the starboard side. If you are using a sail with a UV strip on the port side, contact us so that we can offer you a part that will solve this problem.
- Most of our furlers can be ordered with a “drum” option ». This option is usually reserved for fixed (Solent) or semi-fixed (Trinquettes) sails with short edges. This option is not suitable for sails with very large overlaps (border).
- One of Karver's strengths is to be particularly attentive to its clients in a professional but relaxed atmosphere. Do not hesitate to ask us for advice whatever your level of practice.
