Para Anchor Survival Series

A Para Anchor is designed to provide sufficient power to hold  the bow of a vessel head to wind in the worst storm conditions.  It should be deployed from the bow of the vessel and greatly reduces the risk of broaching, capsizing or rolling, keeping the boat more comfortable and stable throughout the duration of the heavy weather.  Most importantly it allows the vessel to take the storm head on,  rather than running with it, which reduces the time spent in discomfort. A must have for any cruising yachtsman or long distance sailor.

  • Comes packaged in stowage & deployment bags
  • High density, brightly coloured nylon for high visibility in search and rescue situation
  • Fitted stainless sinking chain to help with safer deployment
  • Reinforced in areas of high load
  • Easy and safe retrieval using the specific retrieval line available
  • A range of sizes to fit vessels up to 30m 
Requires an Anchor Line and a Retrieval Line.
  • 3 part system - The Para Anchor, The Anchor Line (towing rode) and The Retrieval Line
  • High density nylon with polyester webbing over sewn to seams
  • From the apex of the para anchor is a 750 mm length of 8 mm chain
  • Double braid shroud lines
  • Coastal 9 requires a 16mm Anchor Line and a Size 1 Retrieval Line
  • Global 12 requires a 16mm Anchor Line and a Size 1 Retrieval Line
  • Tasman 15 requires a 18mm Anchor Line and a Size 1 Retrieval Line
  • Bass Straight 18 requires a 18mm Anchor Line and a Size 1 Retrieval Line
  • Pacific 20 requires a 20mm Anchor Line and a Size 2 Retrieval Line
  • The Southern Ocean 24 requires a 20mm Anchor Line and a Size 2 Retrieval Line 
The Coastal 9 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 8m (26.2') LOA
  • A Heavy Displacement Monohull of up to 6.5m (21.3') LOA
  • A Multihull of up to 9m (29.5') LOA  
The Global 12 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 10m (32.8') LOA
  • A Heavy Displacement Monohull of up to 9m (29.5') LOA
  • A Multihull of up to 10.5m (34.5') LOA 
The Tasman 15 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 11m (36.1') LOA
  • A Heavy Displacement Monohull of up to 10m (32.8') LOA
  • A Multihull of up to 12m (39.4') LOA 
The Bass Straight 18 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 12m (39.4') LOA
  • A Heavy Displacement Monohull of up to 11m (36.1') LOA
  • A Multihull of up to 14m (45.9') LOA 
The Pacific 20 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 13m (42.7') LOA
  • A Heavy Displacement Monohull of up to 12m (39.4') LOA
  • A Multihull of up to 15m (49.2') LOA
The Southern Ocean 24 Parachute Anchor will fit:
  • A Light Displacement Monohull of up to 17m (55.8') LOA
